White Wall, 2000
temporary installation
Zeedijk / Amsterdam / the Netherlands
wood /paint
2 times 250 x 800 cm

Inspired by concepts of photography, and questioning ideas about 'framing', 'focusing' and choosing the 'right moment' i started a series of installations by providing stages as colored blank surfaces.
I have arranged a viewing space in a bar on the ‘zeedijk’ (amsterdam) located at a busy intersection.
directly opposite I constructed a 8 m long and 2,5 m high white wall as a background. within the viewing space the street traffic became isolated and transformed into moving images.
for three days I invited colleagues and friends and the general public to visit the bar and watch the Installation.
